Attorney for Tutor Accused of CSC Argues Teen Victim Assaulted Tutor

A Kent County jury will decide the case of a former Catholic high school tutor in Grand Rapids accused of having sex with a 15-year-old student.

A Grand Rapids District Court judge Thursday bound Abigail Marie Simon (pictured) to Kent County Circuit Court to stand trial on four counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct. She faces a possible sentence of life in prison if convicted.

Simon's attorney claims the 33-year-old teacher was actually the victim of sexual assault by the teen, who's described as a 6'3" tall student athlete.
