Chrysler is recalling more than a million Ram pickup trucks for a chassis defect that could cause a loss of steering.
The recall covers Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks from 2003 to 2012, most of which were sold in the United States. A small number of some other models are also affected by the recall. Replacement parts may not be available until late 2014.
In the meantime, Chrysler said dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and realign the steering components if necessary.
