DeShawn Threats Convicted for Murder of Toddler Daughter

A 22 year old was convicted in Kent County today for the beating death of his daughter.

DeShawn Threats was ordered held without bond, he returns to Chief Circuit Judge Donald Johnston's court July 1st to receive a life sentence with no hope of parole. His 2 year old daughter, Zaeyana Driggs Threats died last August from injuries suffered in a severe beating. Threats had told investigators he found the girl under a bed. He'd been left to babysit the toddler and two younger children.

Jury deliberations began and ended today in 17th Circuit Court, the trial began on Tuesday after the court allowed evidence of Threat's past domestic violence charges.
