Driver Fined, Has License Suspended for Crash That Killed Good Samaritan

A driver who ran over and killed someone in a Kentwood accident has been fined and had her license suspended indefinitely, according to WOOD TV.

Gloria VanPutten has to pay $1,000, plus court costs, for killing Margaret Pittman in May.  VanPutten had pulled out of a driveway and into the path of another vehicle.

Pittman saw the crash and stopped to help, but when she had approached VanPutten's vehicle door, the vehicle accelerated, running her over, then backed over her, and then drove forward over her again.
