Two West Michigan higher-ed institutions report enrollment records this fall.
Grand Valley State University says a 4,124 first-year students enrolled there this fall, which is a record high. It beats last year's record by 119. The percentages of minority, international, and out-of-state students are also at record levels.
Hope College reports a record number of total students. The college in Holland has enrolled 3,388. This is the third straight year the school has set an enrollment record.
