GR Detectives Claim Another Cold Case Solved

Grand Rapids police arrested a man for a ten year old murder. 

Walter Wilson, at first was charged with lying about it, after detectives interviewed him earlier this year.  

Eventually, he was arraigned on a charge of second degree murder.

Even though Wilson is serving time in federal prison in Pennsylvania for an unrelated crime, the arraignment judge in Grand Rapids imposed a half million dollar bond on this murder charge.  Wilson was also charged with being an Habitual Offender, Fourth Offense.

It as in the fall of 2044 that detectives say Wilson shot and killed Robert Farmer, while trying to rob him on Neland, SE, after Farmer left a convenience store.
