Grand Rapids Art Museum Reports Record ArtPrize Attendance

The Grand Rapids Art Museum says the number of guests during ArtPrize this year set a record for attendance during the annual competition.

WOOD TV reports more than 174,000 people visited the art museum.  That beats the previous record, set two years ago, by more than 12,300.

The museum's CFO said a few factors might have contributed to the increase, including good weather, the placement of ArtPrize entries in the museum, and a streamlined system for guests to enter and exit.
