Grand Rapids Man Convicted Of Sex Trafficking

The federal court convicts a Grand Rapids man of pimping young girls from Muskegon, bringing them to Grand Rapids, and selling their sex-services.

Using the new laws against "human trafficking" for the first time, the jury says 31-year old Eddie Jackson actively "trafficked" in girls in the 8th, 9th, and 10th grades who had troubled backgrounds.

This case is part of the new nationwide program called "Project Safe Childhood" which focuses on children being exploited by way of the internet.
