Grand Rapids Woman Pleads No Contest To Welfare Fraud

One Grand Rapids woman who stole more than $370,000 from the state government was sentenced to half year in jail but the judge says she may go free as soon as she pays back the first $3,000.

Monica Robertson pleaded no contest to welfare fraud.

According to WOOD TV, the prosecutors say her childcare business billed the state for 153,000 hours of work it never performed.
