Grand Rapids Gymnastics welcomes over 2,000 athletes to the DeVos Place Convention Center, 303 Monroe Avenue NW, for their annual Gymnastics on the Grand Competition this weekend.
Male and female gymnasts from 56 teams all over the Midwest will be competing in front of thousands of spectators, including college recruiters.
The President of the West Michigan Sports Commission, Mike Guswiler said, "Shane Uson and the board of Grand Rapids Gymnastics have truly put Grand Rapids on the map as a destination for high level gymnastics and a first place competition."
Gymnastics on the Grand is a three day event that started Friday morning and will continue through the weekend wrapping up on Sunday.
Special guests and Olympians John Roethlisberger and member of the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame Carly Patterson will be at the Invitational to meet fans and sign autographs.
Also taking part in this years event is Special Olympics Michigan.
