Don't expect Governor Rick Snyder to announce any plans for a second term until early next year.
The Governor said he will have to talk with his family before making any decision. Snyder is currently on a trade mission to China.
A recent poll found the governor is leading Democratic candidate Mark Schauer by a 44 to 38 percent margin, and he faces opposition from the Tea Party.
Snyder told the Detroit Free Press that "there is more I want to do," but said an official announcement will have to wait. The governor was reacting to the prospect of a primary challenger being announced at the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference, which begins next Friday on Mackinac Island.
