Eric Knysz, 19, is now charged with five counts related to the shooting death of a Michigan State Police trooper earlier this week.
Knysz was brought to the Mason County Jail in Ludington Friday, following a stay at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. WOOD TV reports he had three surgeries to address an injury in a shootout at the time of his arrest.
The teen is being held without bond and the judge ruled he can't have contact with his wife Sarah, who's also facing charges from this incident. Eric Knysz is up on murder of a police officer, felony firearms, carrying a concealed weapon, auto theft and being a second-time offender.
Trooper Paul Butterfield's funeral is set for tomorrow afternoon at Manistee High School.
