NE Grand Rapids Bank Held Up Wednesday Afternoon

FBI agents and Grand Rapids detectives have been active at area banks this week.

A light skinned black or hispanic man passed a note to a teller at the Chase Bank branch on Michigan near Fuller NE about 3:00 p.m. today. The GRPD desk Lieutenant told WOOD Radio their suspect was 5'8" with a slight build and short hair. He was wearing a blue Orlando Magic ballcap, sunglasses and classic "Air Jordan" Nike shoes. No weapon was shown, no one was hurt at the bank.

Any leads in this case can be offered to Grand Rapids' Police (616-456-3604) or Silent Observer. On Monday, a man was arrested shortly after holding up a Chase Bank branch on Plainfield, Police still seek a suspect in the holdup of a Fifth/Third branch Tuesday on Burton near Breton.
