Norton Shores Police Investigate Weekend Stabbing

Norton Shores Police say two men were wounded early Sunday morning at a bar on West Sherman.

They were called to Mibar in the 2300 block of W. Sherman around 2 a.m. A white male with a thin build, short hair and a goatee reportedly approached one of the men on the patio and stabbed him three times. The man with the knife then stabbed a bar employee several times as he arrived to break up the fight. The suspect had a tattoo of a cross on his back, stood about 5'10" and witnesses said he ran off from the bar down Lincoln Avenue.

Norton Shores Police said one of the men was admitted to Hackley Hospital for abdominal wounds, the other was released after receiving stitches for his wounds. Investigators hope to speak with any witnesses or others with information about the attack. Contact the department at (231) 733-2691 or use Silent Observer.
