Officials say 17 students have been charged following a fight last month in a West Michigan high school cafeteria that police broke up with pepper spray.
The update on the March 26 fight at Muskegon High School comes as prosecutors released video of the lunchtime brawl. The video shows students surging at one end of the lunchroom during the brawl as others stand on chairs to watch.
Those charged range in age from 14 to 17. Charges include resisting and obstructing police, fighting, assault and battery, and disorderly conduct.
A school resource officer broke up a fight that initially started between two girls. A male student then got involved and the fight escalated.
No serious injuries were reported.
