Whether it's in West Michigan's big cities or the back roads of area counties, those who take emergency calls are hearing roads where snow pack has been in place are slick.
Allegan County Central Dispatch told WOOD Radio there are reports of slideoffs where the wreckers that have responded wind up stuck. Grand Rapids Police headquarters said side streets in town are slick and they're working on salting the paths. The report for Friday from the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids points to .66 inches of rain and temperatures are expected to go back below freezing later today.
Law enforcement in the region suggest that you take it slow on the roads today, particularly heading into intersections.
