Snyder Approval Rises in Another Poll

A new statewide poll says that Governor Rick Snyder's favorability rating has hit 44 percent. That's up from a low of 38 percent in February.

The Detroit News Poll was commissioned by Lambert, Edwards and Associates public relations firm. The polling was conducted by Denno Research.

The Governor gets points for supporting Detroit's bankruptcy filing, as nearly 53 percent say its a step in the right direction for the city and the state.

But Snyder loses support among fellow Republicans when it comes to the question of Medicaid expansion.   Thirty-seven percent of GOP respondents say they're less likely to vote for Snyder because of his support of that issue.
