Tourists Kept out of National Parks Because of Shutdown

The budget impasse in Washington over whether or whether or not to fund the Affordable Care Act has resulted in the closing of certain tourist attractions in Michigan.

There are orange barrels and tape that have been put up to keep tourists out of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore's Miners' Castle (pictured).  Also closed are Sleeping Bear Dunes national Lakeshore, Isle Royale National Park, and other national parks.

Gloria Kessel told the Detroit Free Press that her family came from Montana to see Miners' Castle, adding "this stinks."
