UM Plans to Sell 51-Acre Site to Nonprofit Agency

The University of Michigan is planning to sell a 51-acre piece of land near Ann Arbor for $3.52 million to the nonprofit product certification agency NSF International.

The university owns about 200 acres of land in an area known as the Ann Arbor Technology Park. It also owns 200 nearby acres that are part of its East Medical Campus.

The proposal to sell the land goes before the university's regents Thursday. The site is in Washtenaw County's Ann Arbor Township.

The school plans to retain mineral rights in the sale and to have first opportunity to buy the property if NSF decides to sell.
