Wyoming Police Investigate Midday, Afternoon Bank Robberies

Two bank robberies have made for an active Friday in Wyoming.

The picture above is from the Community West Credit Union on 44th Street, where a holdup was reported about 12:10 p.m. The man was alone, armed with a handgun and the black male may be in his early 20's. After demanding and receiving money from the clerk, he loaded a black backpack and ran north from the bank.

Around 5 p.m., the Fifth/Third Bank branch on 54th was held up by a man in a hoodie. This white man did not show a weapon during his crime. Witnesses said he looked "scruffy" in blue jeans and a blue basecall cap under his hooded sweatshirt.

Information in either of these cases can be offered to Wyoming Police (616) 530-7300 or Silent Observer.
