Wyoming Residents Arraigned for Allegedly Stealing Scrap Metal in Montcalm County

Two Wyoming residents have been arraigned for allegedly stealing scrap metal Friday afternoon in Montcalm County's Sidney Township.

A witness reported a suspicious man and woman loading the scrap metal into a vehicle at a building on West Stanton Road.

The suspects were trying to leave the scene as deputies arrived and caught them.

Authorities say the couple took items from in- and outside the building.

Connie Lynn Whitney, 37, and Gavier Madera Sanchez, 32 years were arraigned Tuesday in Montcalm County District Court. Both have been charged with Larceny under $200.00 and are currently out on bond.
