Final Piece of USS Gerald R. Ford Primary Hull Structure Lifted into Place

Work continues on the aircraft carrier that will become the USS Gerald R. Ford.  In this May 8 photo from the Navy, the 1,050-metric ton gantry crane at Newport News Shipbuilding lifts the forward end of one of the catapults of the vessel into place.
