Kalamazoo Mom's Facebook Page for Her Son Who 'Has No Friends' Goes Viral

This is an amazing story of a boy named Colin.

Colin is a 10 year-old boy from Richland, MI who because of behavioral disabilities, has a hard time making friends.

Colin's mom Jennifer, created a "Happy Birthday Colin" page after asking her son about having a party for his 11th birthday in march. He told his mother he didn't want a party because he doesn't have any friends. Jennifer said she created the page for him as a way to help him realize he was not alone and could have many friends.

On Colin's Facebook page, this is what his mother wrote.

"I am Colin's mom, I created this page for my amazing, wonderful, challenging son who is about to turn 11 on March 9th. Because of Colin's disabilities, social skills are not easy for him, and he often acts out in school, and the other kids don't like him. So when I asked him if he wanted a party for his birthday, he said there wasn't a point because he has no friends. He eats lunch alone in the office everyday because no one will let him sit with them, and rather than force someone to be unhappy with his presence, he sits alone in the office. So I thought, if I could create a page where people could send him positive thoughts and encouraging words, that would be better than any birthday party. Please join me in making my very original son feel special on his day."

That page, created for Colin just a few days ago, now has 1.2 million likes and even better, thousands of heartwarming birthday wishes from people all around the world.

Please be sure to send Colin a special birthday greeting yourself, and maybe even have your kids send him a birthday card. The magic of this amazing story is happening here, on Colin's page.
